Flameworking Classes

For beginners & experienced students

We offer flameworking lessons for students aged 10 and up. Using a stationary torch (aka bench burner), you’ll learn to melt and shape glass rods and tubes into beautiful, decorative objects. Discover the thrill of working with fire and glass — and unlock the artist within you!

Meet Vicki Schneider

Vicki creates her collectible one-of-a-kind lampworked art by melting and manipulating solid rods of soda lime (aka “soft”) glass in the flame of a small propane and oxygen torch. Using only simple tools like tweezers and a paring knife, Vicki shapes nostalgic and whimsical sculptures of human, botanical, and animal forms. You can explore and purchase Vicki’s unique creations right here on the website or at fine galleries across the country!
