Fun Nite Out (Private Class)
Looking for a unique bachelorette? Your choice:
* Make color-coordinated Pandora-style or 3mm hole beads for the bride and one for each woman in the bridal party
OR
* Make a set of 5" x 5" fused plates for the bride
Bring your cameras and your best wishes. You are welcome to decorate the studio and lounge and bring your own refreshments to share after the class. (Small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot available for your use.) Your class will be scheduled around your needs, including evenings and weekends.
Completed projects can be picked up or mailed to you at cost.

Make beautiful jewelry or decorative items from colorful pieces of glass you cut, arrange, and heat together in a kiln. Make your choice of two pendants, two pins, a pair of earrings, two refrigerator magnets, one suncatcher, one glass tile, or one night-light. Create your own design or follow one of our project samples.
By successfully completing this class, you are eligible to rent studio time and create projects on your own.
You can pick up your fused project after it’s been fired and annealed (heated and cooled gradually to remove thermal stress) or it can be mailed to you for a $7 fee payable to the instructor. If your project requires a bail, earring or pin backs, magnet or night-light assembly, the instructor will provide you with the needed materials in the mail or by appointment.

Create an adorable miniature pocket vase to hang on your wall. Cut your base glass and create your design with crushed glass (frit) and other components. We will heat your project in a kiln until your design melts into the glass and reheat it to form a pocket. No experience is necessary - only a willingness to try.

Pocket Vase
Paint the backs of leaves and flowers with specially formulated vitreous enamel and use them to print the center section of a beautiful plate, suncatcher, tile, or night light. Add colorful pieces of glass to create a border around your print. During the class you will learn basic cutting techniques and how to mix and use the vitreous enamel.
Please bring several leaves or ferns (4” or smaller) with pronounced veins and an N100 or P100 dust mask. (Masks can be purchased from a hardware store.) You may also bring small flowers. Note: Petals that are very delicate do not hold up well to the paints.
We will heat your design in a kiln until the glass melts and then heat it a second time, as needed, to slump it into a small plate. If you are not making a plate, a second firing will not be necessary.
You can pick up your project after it’s been fused and annealed (heated and cooled gradually to remove thermal stress) or we can mail it to you for an additional fee of $7 payable to the instructor.

Nature Prints on Glass
Celebrate fall by creating a beautiful 5”x 5” transparent glass plate embedded with a dimensional leaf design. Learn to cut flat glass and decorate it with a design you cut out of 1/8” fiber paper. We will heat your design in a kiln until the glass melts down around your leaf design and then heat it again to slump it into a 5” x5” plate.
No experience is necessary - only a willingness to try.

Fritty the Snowman Plate
Create a festive Christmas tree you can use as a suncatcher, ornament, or small plate. You will start by cutting pieces of glass to make your tree design. Basic cutting techniques will be taught. Then make your tree distinctive by decorating it with colorful glass strings, small nipped circles, and crushed glass. Your tree will be placed in a kiln to fuse the pieces together.
You can pick up your project after it’s been fused and annealed (heated and cooled gradually to remove thermal stress) or we can mail it to you for an additional fee of $7 payable to the instructor.

Easter Plate (Seasonal Class)
Celebrate Easter by creating a beautiful 5”x 5” transparent glass plate imprinted with a holiday design. Learn to cut flat glass and decorate it with a design you cut out of 1/8” fiber paper. We will then heat your design in a kiln until the glass melts down around the fiber paper to reveal your picture in relief. We will heat your glass again to slump it into a 5”x5” plate.
No experience is necessary - only a willingness to try.
