Vicki Schneider creates her collectible one-of-a-kind lampworked art by melting and manipulating solid rods of soda lime (aka "soft") glass in a propane and oxygen torch.
Using only simple tools like tweezers and a paring knife, Vicki creates nostalgic and whimsical sculptures of human forms.

if you have a special memory you'd like to see in glass
Vicki's sculptures may appear fragile, but they have considerable strength from the way they are designed and created. Prior to packing, non-glued figures are removed from their bases and packed separately. All pieces are secured for shipment with fiberfill and custom cut foam cocoons that surround each piece and ensure their safe transit. If a piece is damaged during transit, Vicki will repair or replace it at her expense.
Glass Art by Vicki
My most ambitious body of work to date, “Childhood,” consumes me in a way that none has before. Not having children of my own, memories of my (extra) ordinary childhood resided quietly in the back of my mind. There was no one I could share them with; no one I could teach to fish, play kickball, or hunt for frogs. Through this heartfelt series, “my kids” are celebrating the innocence of youth while enjoying precious moments from my childhood.
If there's a scene from your life that is special to you, please contact me. I'd be delighted to work with you to create your memories in glass.
